"Since our beginning days at Mesa Gateway, we have been a parish community, a family searching for a place to properly worship our Lord. How wonderful it will be to have a campus to serve and accomplish this goal!"
"Blessed are those who trust in the Lord; the Lord will be their trust. They are like a tree planted beside the waters that stretches out its roots to the stream: It does not fear heat when it comes, its leaves stay green; In the year of drought it shows no distress, but still produces fruit."
God’s blessings have flown through Saint Mary Magdalene in many ways over the last few weeks!
First, the children of our parish responded in a big way. In March, the children were asked to do their part for the future of Saint Mary Magdalene. For two months, children organized lemonade stands, did extra chores, and saved their quarters and dimes in special red boxes. The results were incredible. In total, the children collected 26,950 pennies, 8,600 dimes, 5,543 nickels, 8,084 quarters, 6 half dollars, and 20 dollar coins. With cash added in, the total came to $6,512.15!
On their red boxes, the children were asked to write what they love about Saint Mary Magdalene. You can find what they wrote around the narthex. What do you love about Saint Mary Magdalene? Are you willing to help the parish to grow?
Saint Mary Magdalene was also blessed to have a generous couple come forward, offering to match all pledge dollars, up to $120,000, at $.50 on the dollar, over a nine-day period. Over the weekend of May 20 and 21, you contributed over $230,000 in pledges! Thank you to all who participated, and especially the generous couple, for such an overwhelming outpouring of generosity!
We still need your help. Hundreds of Saint Mary Magdalene families have sacrificed their time, talent, and treasure, for the glory of the Risen Lord. What can you do?
