Join Fr. Chris Axline (& Fr. Chad King from Corpus Christi) for a pilgrimage to Italy this Oct 1-12 to attend the Diaconate ordination at St. Peter's Basilica for Phoenix seminarians, Gabe Terrell, Nathaniel Glenn and Marvin Soto.
The trip also includes a private Scavi tour (excavation beneath the Vatican where St. Peter's remains were discovered in recent years), private daily Mass each day and tours of all four of the major Basilicas: St. Peter's, St. Mary Major, St. John Lateran and St. Paul outside the Wall. The trip will also include a tour of the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel, climbing the Holy Stairs and visiting Santa Croce (the Church of the True Cross) to see the relics of the Passion brought to Rome by St. Helen. We will also visit the St. Calixtus Catacombs and the church of Dominus Quo Vadis along the Appian Way.
After departing Rome, we will visit Assisi, Monte Cassino, the Shrine of St. Philomena, Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotundo, the nearby Cave of St. Michael the Archangel, and the Eucharistic miracle in Lanciano.
The total price for the trip is $3,399 for departures from Phoenix. Contact Gary or Bev Appleberry at Magnificat Tours for more information and/or to register.
